Puzzle program for dogs with physical limitations

Is your dog on crate rest, injured or does he have ongoing chronic issues?

Are you struggling with keeping him calm and content?

I can help you!

Puzzle Dog has developed a very special, online, 1-on-1, customized and guided puzzle program for dogs with physical limitations.

The goal of the program is to help your dog being more happy and content during his crate rest or because of limited activities because of his physical issues. We do that by offering DIY Puzzles in a SAFE way. We will look at what materials to use, how to offer them and how to adapt to your dog's limitations. You will have so much fun together!

How does the program work?

After you've expressed your interest in the program (by email) I will ask you to fill out a form so I get to know your dog and his limitations/restrictions. After that I will set up the program for you, this is what you get:

  • 3 months access to a course in the Puzzle Dog Academy that will be customized to your dog’s situation.

  • The course starts with theory to explain the basics of puzzle sessions - Puzzle Dog uses the wonderful Dutch ‘Hersenwerk method’ for offering puzzles, a method that focuses on teamwork, calmness and adapting to the dog. And in this case safety is very important too.

  • After the theory you will get assignments to do with your dog so we can customize the puzzle sessions for your dog and adapt them to his physical limitations.

  • When the assignments are done you’ll get access to more puzzle ideas and inspiration.

  • Included is a total of 60 minutes of private guidance in the form of written personal feedback on max 15 min. of video of your assignments. (More minutes of guidance can be purchased).

  • Price of the program: CA$199.

My senior dog Howie and I participated in the 1-on-1 guidance for dogs with physical issues. Having already had some instruction from Tessa through sensory rooms and a puzzle workshop, I wondered how this would add to my knowledge base and all I can say is Wow!

Guided puzzles to help a senior dog with declining mobility, to enrich and improve his quality of life, was incredibly helpful. Tessa is so insightful, notices the small details that can make an experience even better, and can help relate movement issues into real, everyday experiences.

I highly recommend this program for anyone with a dog who has physical issues due to age, injury, or medical recovery. Not only does it help our dogs, but the bond that it strengthens between dog and handler is irreplaceable!
